About Us

In 2009 we moved to Upstate NY to start a livestock farm.  Ursula loved the open space and quiet of the country, but her anxiety kept climbing while her vision was getting worse and worse.  After Ursula passed I took a break, losing her was hard, owning her was hard, and I needed to regroup.

Since we were raising animals as a business, it made sense to have a go at dog breeding, many small farms raise dogs both for companionship and work.  We settled on German Shorthairs, and soon Dart was in the passenger seat, tiny and wrinkly in a cardboard box.

Dart grew up well, she's 3 now, and we've had our rocky patches but I wouldn't trade it for the world.  We've yet to hunt together but we're looking forward to the 2016 season.  She's my first dog who truly knows how to work and it's a learning curve for both of us, but I'm loving the experience.  She enriches my life every day, which is a big part of why I chose to breed her.
